Komunitas gay Uganda gemetar dengan disahkannya UU Anti Gay. Mereka khawatir bakal ada perburuan gay di mana kaum sok suci merasa punya HAK ILAHI untuk membasmi gay. Meski demikian, para aktivis gay seperti Frank Mugisha mengaku akan berdemo karena UU itu tidak konstitusional.

Pernah ada pembaca yg protes keras. Wanita itu menilai artikel2 Gay Talk memojokkan agama Kristen dan menebar kebencian seolah2 Kristen adalah agama yg patut dibenci. Saya menolak keras dituduh menebar kebencian! Pertama, saya sendiri juga (mantan) Kristen. Kedua, berita2 yg saya muat BENAR apa adanya! Tanpa rekayasa, tanpa fitnah....
Kalo mau hujat, hujatlah SESAMA KRISTEN yg sok menindas gay dalam nama Yesus!!! Karena merekalah yg mencemarkan nama Tuhannya dan agamanya sendiri... dan membuat smeua orang berpikir agamanya terobsesi membasmi gay....

The bill was passed as a ‘Christmas present’ to the nation, after the government had promised to clean up shelved legislation. On Thursday, an Anti-Pornography Bill was also passed – banning miniskirts and sexually suggestive material. Uganda is a socially conservative country and homosexuality is already illegal. This latest piece of legislation puts pressure on the already persecuted LGBT community who are mainly underground and living in constant fear.
